Whenever i am in Fullerton i have to stop by Roll and Grill! Their prices are undeniable for quality hand rolls. My favorites are the crunch/salmon skin/salmon. The service is quick and staff is friendly. Lots of easy parking is also a big plus.
Food-Wow good. Atmosphere- needs work. Location- ok. Service- they work hard to get your order out.

The owner is a wonderful person and immigrated from Japan. I haven't been back in a while but I often went and was introduced to Roll & Grill by my husband back when we first started dating. The prices are so affordable and the quality of the fish - sashimi, rolls, etc, and the vegetarian options are so excellent. There's something here for everyone. The restaurant is open and there's a few options for seating at tables or at the counter. You can watch your meals made fresh to order, which is really cool. It is clean and inviting. I've always enjoyed my visits. There's also plenty of space when there's a line or when you're waiting for your order. I wish them all the success and I can't wait to go back!
The flavor and the portions make this an incredible value. I should have gone for the bowl instead of the plate and my meal would have come in under $10. So glad I found this my place for when I'm in my brother's hood.
Great prices and good food!! Cheapest place to get sushi and with good quality! Typically always busy. Phone line is super busy you may think it's broken, but keep calling and eventually (maybe after 10 times) they'll answer. When they do answer often times they put you on "hold" right away so just be patient they'll get your order. If you are wanting to get something quick, try another place. The wait is typically 30+ min from waiting in line to actually getting the food. Grab a book or watch a show!
Updated review: I noticed that the fish quality feels a lot better and very rich in flavor. I am specifically speaking about the Tuna & Salmon. It has very good flavor and I enjoy that the place sells SO much that you for sure are getting the freshest they have to offer. This place is still take out only, don't like the wait? Call ahead! Phone line will likely be busy BUT you can always call on your way there. It saves you a LOT of time. It's not so much the kitchen that lags it, it's putting in your order that can cause a delay. The lunch and dinner hours are flooded with people. Again, these workers do their absolute best when it comes to serving up orders. This place is decorated very minimally. They have their menu posted up with updated pricing and specials on the counter that you can check out. If I recall correctly, the restrooms are for employees only. The tables are stacked and they have a few chairs around for their guests that are waiting. They have few signs stating that they are take out only until further notice. Not sure if they plan to open it back up again for dine in. Place is very chill vibe, you don't need to dress up (or dress down). Very laid back, again take out only. If you plan to bring a date here, I recommend having your meal at a local park for a cute picnic. The service has improved significantly. I use to kind of feel like a certain staff member was a little rude but they're no longer there and the experience has gone up significantly. I appreciate their efforts on the cashiers knowing their regulars and newcomers. It makes me feel like the business loves it's community. Parking will be an issue, typically when school is in season. Once school is out, you'll find parking a lot easier. There's a side lot and ally that is for the campus but you could use that information as you will (hehe). Highly recommend!
